Senior Data Scientist Details

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, or a similar discipline and more than 5 years of experience in a data science role within a commercial environment, with a strong preference for experience in finance or banking.

Hybrid mode 3 days/week at our client's office in Bucharest

Full time (6 months to 1 year)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, or a similar discipline, with strong expertise in statistical modeling, probability, and hypothesis testing;
  •  More than 5 years of experience in a data science role within a commercial environment, with a strong preference for experience in finance or banking;
  •  Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying ML models in production, including feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model evaluation;
  •  Advanced experience in Python programming language (for ML/AI) and SQL (data processing);
  •  Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Plotly, GGplot etc);
  •  Deep understanding of the big data ecosystem and distributed computing;
  •  End to end experience in building solutions in Databricks or other distributed computing platform;
  •  Practical experience with ML frameworks (Pandas, PySpark, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn);
  •  Ability to optimize and fine-tune ML models for performance and accuracy;
  •  Experience in deploying and monitoring ML models in production environments using ML/Ops and CI/CD best practices;
  •  Strong ability to translate business challenges into data science solutions and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences;
  •  Design, develop, and implement generative AI models is a plus.
