The DBA team is responsible for production support of all SQL Server databases, most of them located in Paris. Support activities will include:
- Monitoring and capacity management
- Backup and recovery
- Performance analysis
- New database/server architecture and builds
- Ad-hoc consulting to application teams
- General incident and service request resolution
- Change Management
As a part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the required performance of a highly demanding service with multiple critical databases. Your contribution will be crucial in maintaining a high availability environment and optimizing the stability and performance of the services within the scope.
- Administration MS-SQL infrastructures (2012 to 2022)
- Expertise on High Availability environments (SQL Server AlwaysOn)
- Team and collaborative working to develop and deliver appropriate solutions skills.
- Experience of delivering strategic priorities within strict timelines.
- Customer service-oriented skills.
- Very good communication skills in English (oral and written); knowledge of French is a plus
- ITIL Foundation knowledge will be desirable
- On site presence (hybrid mode) and on call support is expected
- Preserve and optimize the performance of critical databases to meet the demanding service requirements.
- Maintain a high availability environment for the databases, ensuring continuous accessibility and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate closely with technical peers to exchange experiences and identify solutions for enhancing stability and performance.
- Communicate effectively with the management team, providing clear updates and reports as required.
- Focus on enhancing core skill sets, acquiring new skills, and actively sharing knowledge with colleagues.
